Here it is Monday. Some good news. ONSS released some work. Not a lot :? but it was something. Gone in no time tho....as usual. :x No work yet from Apex. There hasn't been since a week ago & it's really bothering me.

BTW, Friday, WAHA finally accepted my resignation that was a week old already . ROFLOL :wink: A little slow there on the uptake. LOL Glad I didn't have to work there this weekend. Everyone but everyone was having problems with the software & it was the exact same stuff I'd been having probs with the prior weekend when I put in my resignation. Everyone was pissed too.

I can't say as I blame them. If they're on when it crashes & manage to get back in, their cv drops enormously; in some cases to nothing at all. Before it happened, their cv was more than excellent. Me personally? I just got tired of dealing with it. I just couldn't take it any more. I wasn't making any $$. Only watching my schedule adherence get blown out of the water b/c of it. Enough was enough &, no, I'm not unhappy about leaving.

Tho, I do wish to heck the coding workload would pick up. :!: :!: It's going to be the only $$ I've got coming in right now until I get paid for the data entry I'm going to be doing for TDec. They won't be sending me any paychecks before mid-March since they only pay once a month.

I did find out that we (myself & several others who got hired on by them) will be starting later this week. Several have heard that the next project and/or instructions about it will be sent out around Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.

Hmm....that reminds me. I'm going to have to buy a fax machine sooner or later. I have to fax the invoices off to them. So for a little while anyway, I'll have to fax the stuff off in Tallahassee until I get the $$ together to buy a fax machine. A little later this week or over the weekend, I'll see if Rusty (my roommate...male of course) will want to go with me up to like Staples or the CompUSA up on Monroe St. in Tallahassee to look at what they've got in the way of fax machines and what they're charging.

Hopefully, by mid-March at the latest, I'll be able to buy a fax machine. Until then, I guess it's Tallahassee bound to send my invoices to TDec. Thats kind of why I'm hoping that the coding picks up. That way it won't be so tight $$ wise between now & mid-March.

Oh! Speaking of mid-March & jobs/employment, latest update on the American Idol stuff. I'll be getting the manual to read over about this time next week. Training & testing will occur the two weeks prior to going 'live', which is February 25th. Feb. 25th will be the first night of work for those of us who already passed the test, got their training & the go ahead to book some hours.

I'm hoping that I'll be among those who can start that nite. So is another couple of people I know besides the tons who applied besides the three of us. We're all into coding and damn if there just isn't a freaking batch out there to do right now. It's that slow. This last week has been hell coding wise.

Tho I know that Apex owes me a few $$'s as well as ONSS. I've been getting more ONSS the last week here than I have from Apex. :cry: :evil: :twisted: After this paycheck from Apex, I don't know if I'll have anything to invoice on the next one. :oops: Tho, ONSS does still owe me some $$. Their next paycheck is on the 15th of Feb. Rusty gets paid a week from today. He's also going to have some OT next week.

His co-dishwasher fellow employee is going on 'vacation' to Texas. Everyone's wondering if the man will come back....and this is a guy they're all HOPING doesn't come back. LOL Rusty doesn't mind as he'll get some OT. He just hopes that he isn't stuck for like more than two or three weeks of working on the days he'd normally have off....his days off currently are Sunday & Tuesday. He has to work with this twit/loser Friday & Saturday nite. Sunday & Tuesday are they days this twit/loser works alone.

But, Monday week, this guy will be gone supposedly for only a week. We'll see what happens two weeks from now as to whether the guy shows back up for work or not. Rusty's hoping the guy doesn't LOL Noone really likes this guy. Maybe as the picture they tape up to the dart board when they start a game. LOL

Well, here it is Monday evening. Looking forward to hearing from Stream. Trying to not be the kid @ Christmas or birthday wondering what they're getting. :lol: Supposed to start towards the end of Feb. Can't wait to do their 'training' stuff or what ever we need to do to get our id/passwords & start this position.

Coding's been slow lately except for stuff over the weekend from ONSS. Got to do a fairly decent amt of work....could have done far more if I didn't  have Rusty for a roomie. :evil: :twisted: Can't wait to move & not have him around anymore. *sigh* :wink: One day very soon I'll be out of this state permanently. Can't wait.

Well, I finally had it with WAHA. I officially quit. At 8:15 pm, the ADE errored out & closed itself up. It took me until 8:43 to get it back to where I could at least sign into the .net site & bring up the .com site to log in. However, it would just sit there & do absolutely nothing once I clicked ok to log in after entering my password & id.

The system was going soooooooooooooo slow that I could literally get pregnant (cuz I had the time to have a quickie) in the time it took to get the pages opened up and to the .com log in page via citrix. I literally cannot take it anymore. Most times I'm not making any $$ or so little it's not worth the aggrevation & high blood pressure....which I'm sure skyrockets when I try to do waha. I've lost time trying to deal with waha when there's been coding out that I could do & actually make some $$ off of instead of going thru a ton of aggrevation over something that is definitely not worth my time and isn't paying me to deal with the hassles and system problems.

Right now, there's work on ONSS to do. Granted doc coding is boring at times. Other times, it's a pain in the ass because of all the detail necessary but just the same. At least I know that, with the coding companies I'm with, I'll get my $$ in the end .... and it'll be more than what I get from waha.

As it stands, it sounds like I may well, depending on whether I pass the test they give, have a job as a moderator for the American Idol chat room that's online when the show gets along a little more into the current season (the season just started). I would be monitoring the chat & either blocking or accepting posts that end up going on tv; not just online. I don't remember now really if there was a $$ amount mentioned as far as salary/wages. Probably b/c nothing was said about that as yet.

Actually, I just checked the first email I got from them regarding the position & there IS something about pay & what it is. It's hourly plus per hour bonus will be paid for every shift completed and comply with all guidelines  pai d monthly on the 15th of the following month (ie, January's pay would be sent on the 15th of Feb) via paypal. I can deal with that. I hear they pay & that the folks who get hired by Stream are quite happy working there.

I can't wait to get the 'charter' that Donna Bailey mentioned in the email. The chat stuff is due to go live on the 25th of Feb &, the two weeks prior, they'll be testing and training. I can't wait! I can't wait! I'm hoping Donna Osborne & I can pass the test for this. We both have applied for stuff & thought we did so well on test & had it not work out. We're hoping this time it will be different for us. Also, we both want this so much. It sounds like it would be sooooooooo much fun and it pays decent (hourly vs. by the piece like doc coding is).

Anyway, I'm going to go watch the Crossing Jordan re-run. Have a cup or four more of coffee & get cranking on these ONSS batches. I have one that's been sitting attached to my id now for over an hour already that I need to do. I also want to get a lot more of these batches.

Even tho the manual looks like it'd be gruesome, it didn't look as bad .... at least not when I initially looked at it but I'll see. Either way, I'm still doing the batch & a few more cuz I need the $$.

Oh forgot to mention that at least I have some waha shifts tonite. We'll see how that goes. They (WAHA) hired more folks for the line I'm on. Invariably, the system bogs down horribly, & even crashes on occasion, when there's a lot of calls and/or agents. Add even more agents & some added cv & I have a feeling it will be an interesting evening.

I'll let you know what all happens with it. Also with regards to any coding later. I sure as heck hope it picks back up. It's not like there's a plethora of jobs down here and I want out of this area a year ago. I literally hate it here. I'd rather be back in VA. I have to, have to move. No ifs, ands, buts or maybes .... for my own peace of mind.

Also, I found out today, from Rusty, that there's probably not a chance at the moment of getting hired on up @ Shoney's as a cashier. Greg, the main manager, decided that he didn't need two people at nite doing the salad/ayce bar. So, one of the two who was hired for that is now the cashier, & this other girl who already worked there as well is the other cashier; the latter doing some day shifts as cashier as well as a couple evenings.

So, until & unless, one of them either quits and/or gets fired, I'm s.o.l. (sh** out of luck) as far as a job as cashier is concerned. :cry: Oh well. All the more reason for me to improve on the WAHA line I'm doing. Keep that for now even tho I really do dispise doing call center positions. It IS $$ and the position does help pay the bills. So, I can't complain in that respect.

Another snoozer day in Codingville so far. ONSS put out SOME work. Managed to get some of it. Not a whole lot but it was something. Fortunately, in one respect, it was super, dooper easy stuff. Unfortunately, those very same super, dooper easy ones only pay pennies per doc .... literally!! :cry:

I sure hope Apex puts out some work tonite. They put out SOME last nite. There was a very, very small amt put out the first time & God only knows how much was in the second one as it showed "no batches" when I looked .... & that was riiiiiiiight after I got notification of the project being out. :cry:

*sigh* Too bad ONSS can't be as busy as they used to be or have Apex pick up a bit more. Apex put out a bunch of stuff last week. If they'd remain consistant like that, it would be great. It would be even better if ONSS did the same. Perhaps have ONSS do like they did today & release it during the day. With them doing that & Apex releasing in the evenings like they do, it would work out maaaahvelously!! :D

Do ONSS (depending on the project of course!! LOL) during the day & Apex in the evenings. That would be sweet!!

:D Still waiting to hear about the AI position with Stream. It's a moderator position making sure the wrong messages don't make it onto the air. Everyone's still waiting to hear about the position. Tho, I think there's one person on the workplacelikehome.com site that knows more than she's saying.

The good thing is it sounds pretty positive for a few folks to get on board with them for this position. I also sent an email today asking about general non-adult texting positions as well as any updates on the AI moderator position. I haven't heard back from her (Donna) as of yet.

I'm hoping I get it....the moderator position as well as even being able to do the non-adult texting. If nothing's open in non-adult, I'll ask about the adult stuff and find out if I can do that as well as be considered for the AI moderator position. I'll keep you posted on it.

I'm hoping that work picks up more. Apex released a very small amt of work today. Wish they'd release more. ONSS too! ONSS, of late, sucks, but then, they've sucked work wise since June of 2004.

There's also the PH line for WAHA which I'm not all too fond of. I'm only doing it b/c I need the $$. It's more their system that I had. Yes, they may well have removed a lot of the bugs from the system but now that they've hired all these new folks, it'll only bog the system down even more.

West (the owners of WAHA) say that PH (Pizza Hut) is adding more stores tho. So, that's why they hired on more folks. I just need to get my SA (Schedule Adherence) up. My SA stinks right now but I'm sure I can get it done. I'll get it back up & get my attitude about PH where it should be....system probs or not. LOL
